Kearney Group has been named a Top 100 Accounting Firm by the Australian Financial Review for 2017.

“Coming in at #58 on the Top 100 Accounting Firms List is an incredible achievement for a boutique practice like ours,” says Business & People Partner, Jen Purnell. “I’m so pleased for the entire team.”

The Top 100 Firms list looks at and judges firms across a range of criteria including revenue, evidence of year-on-year growth and staffing.

Writing for the Financial Review, Edmund Tadros writes:

Technology isn’t proving to be the end of accountants but rather a way for the most innovative firms to improve internal operations and take on more work.

The Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Accounting Firms shows outfits that have invested in technology and recruited or trained staff up in technical skills have grown revenue strongly in the past year. Growth was also evident in acquisitive firms, especially in the accounting and financial advisory space, and at smaller firms that focused on a market segment or a particular service offering.

The Top 100 firms generated total revenue of $9.99 billion in the past financial year, up 10 per cent on the previous year. More than one-third of firms did not have any women partners, while five firms had partnerships that were split 50-50 between men and women.

The list was produced by the Financial Review in partnership with Chartered Accountants ANZ.
