In 2008, Lucy founded The Design Files. The site has since grown in Australia’s go-to destination for design inspiration, with over 800,000 website visitors per month, and over 550,000 instagram followers. Over the past decade, Lucy has contributed design news to influential titles including Inside Out, The Age and The Saturday Paper, and she is a current columnist for Domain Magazine. Julia Busuttil Nishimura Cook & Author, The Design Files Julia is the author of three best-selling cookbooks: Ostro (2017), A Year of Simple Family Food (2020) and Around the Table (2022). She is a columnist for Good Weekend Magazine, ABC Everyday and The Design Files. Her work celebrates simple ingredients, seasonal produce and the joys of coming together at the table. Julia’s cooking is influenced by her Maltese heritage and Japanese family, the distinctive ebb and flow of Melbourne’s seasons, and by her time spent living in Tuscany, where she learned the joys of the Italian kitchen.
