Financial Plan Development

No two people are identical. So, at Kearney Financial Planning no two plans are identical either.

Our advisers reject the ‘one size fits all’ approach to financial service. As an alternative to this method, we’ve developed a planning process that is fully personalised and results in an individually tailored financial plan which reflects your unique goals and objectives.

Plan Development: What to Expect

At Kearney Financial Planning, the plan development process normally requires three to four meetings, over a three to five week period.

At each meeting, there will always be at least two advisers present. This way, as questions or issues arise, there will always be someone present who is acquainted with you and across your financial situation.

Meeting Format

Meeting 1: Initial Discussion

In this meeting we will discuss your needs, our corporate philosophies and introduce the financial planning process. Used to determine what advisory role we can play for you, this meeting is held at our expense. Should you feel financial planning is appropriate for you, we will supply you with a data collection package which once completed and returned to us, will help us gain an understanding of you, your current situation and your aspirations for the future. Additionally, collected data helps guide the initial stages of the planning process but also underpins strategic decisions throughout our ongoing relationship.

Meeting 2: Data Collection Meeting

In this very important meeting, we discuss your goals and objectives, desires for the future and current realities. Out of this discussion and your completed data collection package, we begin to develop a thorough understanding of your short, medium and long-term goals.

Meeting 3: Strategy Discussion Meeting

In this meeting we begin to discuss the strategies best suited to your specific circumstances and goals. After coming to consensus, the meeting will adjourn and your advisory team will begin drafting the formal financial plan.

Meeting 4: Plan Delivery and Sign-Off

At this meeting, we will carefully step you through each component of your personalised financial plan. Strategic recommendations, and how they will help you obtain your goals, will be a major focus of this meeting. Upon your acceptance and sign-off, we will commence the implementation phase.
